Carter has been concerned about the exhaust system and finally got down there and began to investigate. He feared having to have some serious work done on it. Fortunately, once he got down there and began looking, it seems that the problem is from a worn out gasket.
The brass plaque names this the Screw Room. I have totally ingnored this door and room so far. Yes, it is that short. It is only a 1/2 door and is located immediately beside the galley stove/oven area. .
This is once you're inside looking back out to the galley. Trying to give you the idea of what a challenge it is getting in and out of this room from this entrance.
This is the entrance from the hatch found in the cockpit. The doors need to be sanded and repoly coated the same as the regular hatch.
The work table loaded down. This will be worked on little by little.
The engine is a British Standard that was made for the English double decker buses.

I finally cleaned this door while waiting for requests from Carter. The floor in the galley and dinette will be dealt with later...towards the end. We haven't decided if we want wood flooring, tile or a combination of either with carpet in the dinette.
